Call on your MP to Reset the Debt

Many thousands in the UK are struggling with debts that have got worse in the pandemic. 8.5 million are now heavily in debt, that’s 1 in 6 in the UK.

So far, the government has done little help, but we have a chance to make them sit up and take notice.

This Thursday at 1.30pm the issue will be debated in parliament. Don’t let there be an empty place where your MP should be, make sure they turn up, take action and hear about what needs to be done to support people in debt.

We know that the impacts of debt on a person and their family can be huge; one person told us that ‘Debt has social, emotional and mental side effects, the like of which are a silent venom.’

Please email your MP now and ask them to go to the debate.
